About Me

Builder. Gamer.

I was CEO and President of Nexon for a decade (2014–2024), where we grew market cap more than 7.5x to over $20 billion -- driven by a long-term approach to live games, new game innovation, and disciplined capital allocation.

Before that I was  CFO of Nexon (2010–2014), where I led the company's IPO.

Earlier, I led Corporate Development at Electronic Arts (2000–2009), handling M&A and strategy.

I'm now on the boards of Hasbro and Logitech.

Some all-time favorite games: System Shock 2, BattleZone (PC), StarCraft, Robotwar, Choplifter, Battlefield 1942 (esp Desert Combat mod), BF1, Eve Online, MapleStory, Europa Universalis IV, RimWorld, Factorio, SimCity, GTA V, Helldivers 2, The Finals, and now Arc Raiders.

This blog is where I share how I think about building great games — and connect with the people who want to shape what’s next.
