Builder. Gamer.
I was CEO and President of Nexon for a decade (2014–2024), where we grew market cap more than 7.5x to over $20 billion — by focusing on the long-term growth of live games, innovation in new games, and disciplined investment.
Before that, I was CFO of Nexon (2010–2014), where I led the company’s IPO.
Earlier, I led Corporate Development at Electronic Arts (2000–2009), overseeing M&A and strategy.
Some all-time favorite games: System Shock 2, BattleZone (PC), StarCraft, Robotwar, Choplifter, Battlefield 1942 (esp. Desert Combat), Battlefield 1, EVE Online, MapleStory, Europa Universalis IV, RimWorld, Factorio, SimCity, GTA V, Helldivers 2, The Finals — and now ARC Raiders.
This blog is where I share how I think about building great games and great game businesses — and connect with people shaping what’s next.
Opinions are entirely my own.
