Builder. Gamer.
I was CEO and President of Nexon for a decade (2014–2024), where we grew market cap more than 7.5x to over $23 billion, by focusing on the long-term growth of live games, innovation in new games, and disciplined investment.
Before that, I was CFO of Nexon (2010–2014), where I led the company’s IPO.
Earlier, I led Corporate Development at Electronic Arts (2000–2009), overseeing M&A and strategy.
Some all-time favorite games: System Shock 2, BattleZone (PC), StarCraft, Robotwar, Choplifter, Battlefield 1942 (esp. Desert Combat), Battlefield 1, EVE Online, MapleStory, Europa Universalis IV, RimWorld, Factorio, SimCity, GTA V, Helldivers 2, The Finals, and ARC Raiders.
This blog is where I share how I think about building great games and great game businesses and connect with others who do too.
Opinions are entirely my own.
